Feedback & Evaluation
In order to provide as much feedback as possible to our summer associates, an evaluation team is assigned to each summer associate. An evaluation team consists of two team members, typically partners and senior associates, who have demonstrated superior writing skills, good people skills and the knack for relaying information to summer associates.
Introductory meetings between evaluation teams and their summer associates occur during the associate’s first week at the Firm. During the summer, each evaluator reads every project completed by their summer associates and periodically meets with the summer associate to candidly review and critique completed work and generally evaluate the overall status of the summer associate’s file to date. These conferences are candid and honest and information discussed during these conferences should be used by the summer associates to improve their work product and their overall performance.
For summer associates spending the entire program at the Firm, no less than three evaluation conferences will be held. At least two evaluation conferences will be held for summer associates who have chosen to split their summer with another firm.
