Dorothy J. Santos
Dorothy J. Santos is an Associate in the Estate Planning and Wealth Protection Practice at Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
Ms. Santos handles all aspects of estate planning including drafting various types of Wills and Trusts and implementing components of estate plans. Ms. Santos also administers estates and trusts. Specifically, she handles all aspects of Surrogate’s Court practice, counsels fiduciaries regarding fiduciary tax issues and estate and trust administration, and prepares estate and gift tax returns.
Ms. Santos is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and is a member of the Trusts and Estates Law Section of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association.
Ms. Santos received her B.S., summa cum laude, from the University at Albany, State University of New York and her J.D., magna cum laude, from New York Law School, where she was a John Marshall Harlan Scholar. While in law school, Ms. Santos served as a Senior Editor of the New York Law School Law Review and was affiliated with the Center for Real Estate Studies. Ms. Santos also interned for the Honorable Denis R. Hurley in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
