Dana G. Bradford II

Dana G. Bradford, II is the Managing Partner and head of the Litigation Practice for the Jacksonville office of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.

Mr. Bradford handles commercial litigation of all types, including class actions, as well as defense of all types of insurance matters, accident and products liability defense including toxic exposure claims.

Mr. Bradford is a member of the practicing bar of all Federal District Courts in Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. In addition to serving The Florida Bar in many capacities, Mr. Bradford has served on appointment by the Florida Supreme Court on the Florida Board of Bar Examiners (including a term as Chairman), The Florida Supreme Court Select Commission for Study of the Florida Board of Bar Examiners and the Florida Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism. He also served by appointment on the Attorney-Client Privilege Task Force of The Florida Bar. Mr. Bradford is a member of the American Bar Association, the Jacksonville Bar Association, the American Board of Trial Advocates and a fellow of the American Bar Foundation. He is a past President of the Jacksonville Association of Defense Counsel and is a Master in the Chester Bedell Inn of Court.

Mr. Bradford has authored various articles and contributions to journals and treatises during the last 37 years that he has been in the practice of law. He has also spoken frequently to legal and non-legal organizations on a variety of legal subjects and has, on several occasions, served as a demonstration trial team and faculty member of the American Board of Trial Advocates’ “Masters in Trial” series. Mr. Bradford been recognized and appeared in many legal source books, including the directory of Florida’s Leading Attorneys and Florida Super Lawyers (2006-2010), as well as Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in American Law.

Mr. Bradford earned his B.A. degree in 1970 from the University of Florida and his J.D. degree in 1973 from Duke University. He was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1973. The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization has for many years recognized Mr. Bradford as a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer.

Mr. Bradford is an alumnus of Leadership Jacksonville and has been active in a variety of community and civic affairs in Jacksonville. He currently serves (and has for the last 9 years) on the Board of Governors of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida.
