Mr. Pressley represents Plaintiffs and Defendants in litigation in state and federal courts relating to business torts and contract disputes, creditor’s rights, title insurance defense, executive benefits and employment contract disputes, condominium development disputes, trust and probate litigation and other commercial matters.
Mr. Pressley received his B.A. degree in Political Science, with honors, in 2005 from the University of Florida. He earned his J.D. degree, with honors, in 2009 from Emory University School of Law, where he was a Notes and Comments Editor for the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal and a member of the Order of the Coif. In 2008 the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal published his comment, “A New Solution: 11 U.S.C. 1146(a) and the Ordinary Course of Business Distinction.” Additionally, Mr. Pressley was on the Dean’s List, received the Class of 1963 Scholarship and the Attorney’s Title Guaranty Fund Award for 2009. During law school, Mr. Pressley interned as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Timothy C. Batten, Sr., District Court Judge for the Northern District of Georgia. Mr. Pressley is a member of the Georgia Bar and Florida Bar.
Prior to joining Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP, Mr. Pressley volunteered at the DeKalb County Public Defender’s Office Juvenile Division in DeKalb County, Georgia, where he handled both felony and misdemeanor juvenile criminal cases.
