Paul J. Sowell

Paul J. Sowell is Counsel in the Tax Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP with a focus on Estate Planning and Wealth Protection.

Mr. Sowell’s experience gives him the ability to advise and navigate clients through the complex nature of the federal estate and gift tax system, allowing clients to most effectively utilize sophisticated tax minimization strategies. Mr. Sowell also advises clients with complex family situations to ensure their assets pass to their intended beneficiaries in the most tax efficient manner. He also has experience in the areas of estate administration and estate litigation.

Mr. Sowell is a member of the Association of the Bar of the State of New York.

Mr. Sowell received his B.A. degree in Economics from Union College. He received his J.D. degree from Brooklyn Law School. Mr. Sowell is admitted to practice before the courts of the States of New York and New Jersey.
